Odyssey
1. Zero Personal Data Collection
- Odyssey does not require account creation, email registration, or identity tracking.
- We do not collect, sell, or share personal information or watch habits.
- The app contains no advertising SDKs or third-party behavioral trackers.
2. Local Storage
- All logged movies, TV shows, watch statuses, ratings, reviews, notes, and custom lists are stored locally on your device.
- Uninstalling the app or clearing app storage deletes your local database.
3. Third-Party Metadata Services
To display movie and TV show information, Odyssey fetches titles, artwork, and release details from public media metadata services over standard HTTPS requests. Odyssey never transmits your personal watch history or list records to external providers.
4. Google Drive Backup (Optional)
- If you enable cloud backups, Odyssey connects to your Google account via Google Sign-In.
- Backups are stored strictly in your personal Google Drive
appDataFolder. - Odyssey can only access files that the app itself created. It cannot view or modify other Google Drive files.
- You can disconnect Google Drive at any time in app settings.
5. Data Deletion and Export
You can export your complete watch history as a JSON file or erase all local data directly within app settings (Settings → Backup & Data Management).
